COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The course will enable students to gain knowledge and skills about healthful living topics important to their age levels.
Textbook: Glencoe Health
Policies
Attendance: A medical excuse or a valid excuse written by a parent/guardian must be received by the school on the day the student returns to school. ALL ABSENCES must be verified by a medical or parent note. Please refer to student handbook for additional policy information about absences.
Tardy:
Students are expected to report to class on time. Students who are tardy to school or class are subject to the Pupil Discipline Code.
You are considered tardy if you are not in the classroom when the tardy bell rings.
Make-up Work
It is the student’s responsibility to coordinate arrangements with the teacher(s) and complete make up work and tests within 3 school days upon the student’s return to school.
All Johnsonville High School and Florence District 5 Schools rules, regulations and policies stated in the student handbook and code of conduct apply.
When Are Parents Notified?
*1st offense: Warning
*2nd offense: Teacher/Student Conference/ Contact Parent
*3rd offense: Office Referral/Write Up
**Any major offense will result in an automatic office referral**
